# Gable Shirt Sew Along

Here is the sew along for our fifth capsule sewing pattern of 2022. The [Gable Shirt](https://openstudiopatterns.com/patterns/p/gable-shirt) has two sleeve options. One simple and the other makes a statement. The pattern has some simple binding at the neckline and sleeve opening. Even though this button down shirt is pretty straight forward, a video never hurts. Leigh will walk you through all the steps, including both sleeve variations.

Follow the pattern adjustment directions in our digital package to modify the sleeve and get a perfect fit, especially with sleeve variation A.

This indie sewing pattern is Intermediate Level and should have you busy for an average of 5 hours. The Gable Shirt can be made in any shirting fabric. A 4 oz cotton or linen, with a little structure, is most ideal for the pattern. Try poplin, Oxford, stripes, gingham or chambray.
