Remote Tote pattern in a new direction—swapping the usual canvas and heavyweight twill for sleek quilted nylon. This fabric choice brings a completely different look and feel to the bag, but it also requires some adjustments to both tools and techniques. Throughout the video, I walk you through every decision I made along the way: how to press seams without damaging the fabric, which presser feet work best for slippery nylon, and the small construction tweaks that make all the difference when working with synthetic materials. I also share why I scaled up the bag dimensions, chose a longer zipper for full accessibility, and added contrast striped binding and zipper tabs for a custom finish.
