Our latest collaboration brings you our Cozy Slipper sewing pattern paired with an exclusive woven fabric from our partners at the The Weaving Mill. We created the Cozy Slipper sewing pattern in 2020 and it continues to be a seasonal favorite of home sewists. We’ve taken the guesswork out of sourcing fabrics for this project and bundled all the materials needed to make these slippers a success.

The Weaving Mill designed a unique cloth featuring a monk’s belt construction with a pick & pick color sequence in the weft, resulting in what weavers call a Log Cabin. It’s woven on a factory-style automated power loom that weaves approximately 300 weft threads per minute, and produces fabric about 60” wide. Paired with a soft flannel lining and 1/4” batting, this kit really delivers. 

Kit includes:
-Self fabric: Wool/Cotton woven fabric from The Weaving Mill 
-Batting: 1/4” thick cotton batting
-Lining: Cotton flannel
-Printed paper pattern
-Instruction booklet
-Muslin drawstring bag for slipper storage

Sizes:
Men’s 5-12 and Women’s 6-13.

Level:
Beginner - average 2 hours of prep and sewing.

The Weaving Mill is an artist-run industrial weaving studio, located in Chicago, IL. Our Open Studio HIP PACK pattern is paired with production scraps from Elizabeth Suzann Studio for our first Remant Re-Make Kit. Our industrial sewing factory Sew Co. manufactures for many ethical brands. This kit utilizes production scraps from its client Elizabeth Suzann Studio for a work horse denim Hip Pack.

The pattern has lots of pro details including webbing tabs and zipper tabs that give it a super clean look. Wear it slung ‘cross-body or around your hips - either way you’ll be hands free stylin’.

Kit includes: Printed Paper Pattern, 1” Natural Cotton Webbing, Quick Release Clip & Slider and 9” molded nylon zipper included. Scan QR code inside for digital step-by-step instruction and link to video sew-along.
